If You Have An Emergency, Go To The ER!

Statistics still show that certain emergencies, including aortic dissections, are down in emergency departments across the country. The concern from doctors is that people are not going to emergency rooms for fear of catching the virus even if they are in pain, or experience something that would normally lead them to seek help.

At the same time statistics show that deaths at home have increased during the pandemic from deaths at home pre-pandemic.

We would like to make sure that if you have a known aneurysm or connective tissue disorder and you experience the sudden onset of chest pain or any unexplained pain that you consider putting these fears aside, call 911 or get to the nearest E.R.

Don't stay home for fear of contracting COVID-19.
